The main risks in cold service are hardening of tube and cover, cracking when bent, and expansion of trapped water when it freezes.
Selection points:
1. Confirm minimum ambient and media temperature and choose a type with a matching low-temperature rating.
2. Bend radius increases at low temperature — allow more margin than at room temperature.
3. For outdoor use, consider UV and ozone ageing and add protective sleeving where needed.
4. Drain the line during shutdown or intermittent use to avoid ice expansion damage.
5. Never force a bend while the hose is cold.
Xuantone can offer low-temperature types; the temperature range follows the specification sheet. For outdoor northern sites or cold storage, state the minimum temperature when inquiring.
