UPE wear-resistant hose uses an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) liner to handle highly abrasive media.
Typical service: concrete mortar and wet mix, slurry and tailings, dry powder and granule pneumatic conveying, quartz and glass sand — anywhere wall abrasion is severe.
How it differs. Standard abrasion hose relies on compound formulation; a UPE liner relies on the material's low friction coefficient and wear resistance, so the life difference is most visible in dry, high-velocity service.
Selection limits. UPE liners have a temperature ceiling — confirm media and ambient temperature; also check chemical compatibility and allowed flow velocity.
