Pressure and bore. Select by maximum working pressure and surge peak; rated pressure must exceed the peak. Size the bore by flow and allowed velocity — undersizing causes pressure drop and heat.
Flame retardant and anti-static. Underground hose must meet the applicable flame-retardant and anti-static requirements. State the required standard and test items when ordering, and ask for the corresponding test report with the goods.
Fitting type. Mining lines commonly use KJ quick couplings, DN fittings and flanges — match the support or pump station interface to avoid field modification.
Installation and maintenance. Avoid contact with sharp edges; support long runs with clamps. Inspect regularly for cover cracking, blisters and fitting leakage, and replace the whole assembly rather than running a damaged line.
